Witness Recounts Instant When 'Evil Attacker' Attacked Northern Manchester Jewish House of Worship

A person assisting in securing a synagogue in the Manchester area has described how a tragic assault took place, leading to the loss of a pair of Jewish individuals.

That Thursday, a congregant was within the Heaton Park synagogue when a perpetrator rammed a car into and stabbed attendees assembling for a observance to observe the holy day.

Mr Levy explained that the 'monster' individual tried to force open the entrances of the building, and he remembered barricading the facility with fellow congregation members.

The victims, in their 50s and 60s were killed in the attack on Thursday, while three others were wounded while helping to safeguard worshippers.

Witness Description of the Incident

The individual, who serves as a Chair of the Trustees at the synagogue, explained securing the entry points and noted that the perpetrator wielded sharp objects and outdoor items to attempt entry.

I witnessed a terrifying individual shoulder charge in the front doors, seeking to force them open holding a sharp weapon," he told reporters.

"The only thing I heard from him was 'this is what you're going to get for killing our children'.

Just those words I heard him say. We stood within the synagogue and we were saying 'we are not letting this man in'.

He appeared as an insane and malevolent attacker."

Ceremony Held for Deceased

The comments came as a large gathering were present at the memorial for Mr Cravitz.

Family members, members from the local Jewish community along with Rabbi Daniel Walker, and individuals of the wider Jewish community came together in Pendlebury, Salford to honor the deceased.

Mourners occupied the burial ground, with a number waiting outdoors the ceremony space in the inclement weather, listening to the ceremony and tribute over speakers.

In a message issued on the following day, the victim's loved ones stated that he was always willing to assist.

Police Inquiry and Detentions

Law enforcement reported that Mr Daulby was likely struck by law enforcement rounds as they engaged the assailant following the alarm was raised.

The victim, who was described by his family as a "brave individual", was attending a ceremony at the temple when the violence unfolded.

He remained a beloved brother, caring relative to his family members and a dear extended family member," his relatives noted.

His loved ones are shocked by the tragic, sudden death of a kind and humble individual.

His last actions demonstrated great bravery and he will forever be remembered for his heroic act."

Several arrests have been made in relation to the attack, and police stated that a group remained in custody on that time.

Each of them were arrested on suspicion of involvement in terrorist acts.

The suspects include a pair of males, in their 30s and both arrested in Prestwich; a female in her 60s arrested in Prestwich; and a 46-year-old woman arrested in Farnworth.

An 18-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were released with no additional charges, police announced on Saturday.
